Today, we had a productive working session with Andrea Urqueta Alfaro PhD to begin developing a MEAL framework (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning) for the Agoro Girls Sponsorship Pilot Project.
The discussion focused on:
📌 Simple tools for tracking school attendance and engagement
📌 Clear documentation for meetings with schools and families
📌 Learning from household visits and community engagement
📌 Accountability to sponsored girls, families, and supporters
📌 A practical system that works in rural, resource-constrained settings
This MEAL framework will help us better understand the challenges girls face, track progress during the school term, and improve support so they stay in school and succeed.
We are grateful for Andrea’s technical support and shared commitment to building a strong, learning-driven pilot that can grow into a sustainable model for supporting vulnerable rural girls.
Step by step, we are strengthening systems that ensure impact, accountability, and long-term opportunity for girls in Agoro.
