I was honored to represent hashtag#ERONet at the hashtag#HumanitarianExchange (HX) Kampala 2025, a vital gathering that brought together local and international actors to explore how we can strengthen locally led responses to crisis across East Africa.
The conference created space for deep conversations on power-shifting, partnerships, and practical solutions—especially for community-rooted organizations like hashtag#ERONet working in fragile and rural contexts.
One of the most powerful sessions for me was on Climate, Conflict, and Mobility—a topic that deeply reflects our realities in Lamwo District, Northern Uganda. As a district still recovering from conflict, hosting thousands of refugees, and now confronting increasing climate unpredictability, Lamwo sits at the intersection of overlapping crises. This session reminded me why our work must address humanitarian needs in an integrated and adaptive way.
Grateful to hashtag#SavetheChildrenUganda, the hashtag#HumanitarianLeadershipAcademy, and all the brilliant participants who made this exchange meaningful. Let’s keep pushing forward for a system that values and invests in local leadership.
