Lamwo District, located in Northern Uganda, is facing immense socio-economic challenges as it recovers from decades of conflict. While the region works toward rebuilding, poverty, poor infrastructure, and limited access to essential services continue to hold communities back.

🚜 Agriculture & Poverty: Most families depend on subsistence farming, yet lack modern tools and resources to improve productivity.

🛣️ Infrastructure Gaps: Poor road networks make transportation and market access difficult, limiting economic growth.

🩺 Healthcare Crisis: Many people must walk over 5 km to reach the nearest health facility, making healthcare inaccessible for many.

📚 Education Struggles: Schools are underfunded, lacking teachers and resources, and the growing refugee population further strains an already overwhelmed system.

🌱 Environmental Pressures: Rapid deforestation and water scarcity are worsening due to increased demand for resources.

🆘 Refugee Influx: The district hosts thousands of South Sudanese refugees, stretching local resources and services beyond capacity.

Despite these challenges, ERONet is committed to driving change by empowering communities through education, healthcare, and sustainable development. But we need your support to make a lasting impact!
