This week, #ERONet staff met with sponsored girls and their families in Agoro, Lamwo District, to reaffirm a shared commitment:
👉🏾 Every girl deserves the chance to stay in school.
In rural Northern Uganda, many girls face barriers that put their education at risk.Financial pressure, household responsibilities, and social expectations can force girls to leave school too early.
When a girl drops out of school, the consequences can be profound — including early marriage, limited economic opportunities, and reduced independence.
That is why supporting girls’ education requires more than paying school fees.It requires working closely with families and communities.
During this meeting, parents and guardians discussed the importance of keeping girls in school and committed to supporting their daughters’ continued education. The girls also shared their aspirations and reaffirmed their determination to pursue their studies and build their future. 💪🏾🎓
These conversations are essential.
They help create a supportive environment where girls are encouraged to learn, grow, and pursue their ambitions.
Thanks to the support of dedicated private donors, this program helps remove some of the barriers that push rural girls out of school.
Supporting a girl’s education does more than change one life.
It helps delay early marriage, strengthen communities, and build opportunities for the next generation.
🌱 When a girl stays in school, her future expands.
🌍 And her community grows stronger.
